I was intrigued by the way this palm was reaching out to the ocean and the shadow that it cast on the ground. I also like to let my eye follow the footprints and imagine the someone having to bend under the palm frond that is hanging down. Something about beaches are just theraputic and relaxing.
About Susan Jenkins
I have been painting and drawing from my earliest memories. I can't remember a time when I didn't want to be an artist. I graduated from the Universtiy of North Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and was awarded the "Most Outstanding Artist" title upon graduation. Although I work in many different mediums my favorite is pastels. I love the vibrant color that can be achieved. When I was a child I was so in love with color and would get so excited over a new box of crayons, colored pencils, markers, or watercolors. I get equally excited today when I see all of my beautiful pastels laid out and waiting for the next creation. I believe the results that can be achieved with pastels produce some of the most beautiful art ever...
