I have the most beautiful memories of chasing lightening bugs in my grandmother's backyard and putting them in a mason jar for my own personal light show, of course I always released them. What a beautiful representation of John 1:5 and how "the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it." In times of darkness we often feel alone and afraid and yet God is with us when we call upon Him willing to give us His light and love.
I have been painting and drawing from my earliest memories. I can't remember a time when I didn't want to be an artist. I graduated from the Universtiy of North Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and was awarded the "Most Outstanding Artist" title upon graduation. Although I work in many different mediums my favorite is pastels. I love the vibrant color that can be achieved. When I was a child I was so in love with color and would get so excited over a new box of crayons, colored pencils, markers, or watercolors. I get equally excited today when I see all of my beautiful pastels laid out and waiting for the next creation. I believe the results that can be achieved with pastels produce some of the most beautiful art ever...
