I love fields, roads, old fences and stunning sunsets... so this painting has it all. I named it "Almost Forgotten" because weeds have almost overtaken the little path leading to the gate. I find in life it is much the same. When we don't frequent the things we love, often they can become impassable.
I have been painting and drawing from my earliest memories. I can't remember a time when I didn't want to be an artist. I graduated from the Universtiy of North Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and was awarded the "Most Outstanding Artist" title upon graduation. Although I work in many different mediums my favorite is pastels. I love the vibrant color that can be achieved. When I was a child I was so in love with color and would get so excited over a new box of crayons, colored pencils, markers, or watercolors. I get equally excited today when I see all of my beautiful pastels laid out and waiting for the next creation. I believe the results that can be achieved with pastels produce some of the most beautiful art ever...
